The ‘Light Up A Life’ team carried out its inaugural Health & Welfare Camp on 16th May 2013 at the Salvation Army Home for Girls, Colombo 10. There were a total of 89 inmates living at this home, from different parts of the country & with different complications in life. All are taught & trained with socializing & vocational skills, to lead a better/independent life.
We conducted a mini Medical Camp & Health Check, where Fasting Blood & Diabetic Test, Weight & Height, Pressure, etc were carried out for all inmates. Also an education lecture was conducted, highlighting the importance of maintaining good health and useful tips to enhance their knowledge. All were provided with refreshments & gifts from our beloved Aqa Moula (TUS) & Aali Qadr Moula (TUS).
